Recently, I had the pleasure of meeting Curtis (an awesome Senior) who is interested in hunting, camping, & football at Campbell Creek Trailhead in Anchorage, Alaska (AK). We had fun setting up the shots with his bow & arrow. I told him “Go ahead & point your bow & arrow straight at me —- just PLEASE DON’T DRAW THE STRING BACK!” HAHAHHA! =) Then I continued by “I should be the only one shooting anything around here now. I’ll shoot you with a Canon, but I promise it won’t hurt!” =)
Curtis’ dad came along on the photoshoot & I had them play a game of catch for some great action shots, and also the sentimental side of Father & Son playing football. For some reason, when I tell two guys who like football to play catch, they had no problem with it at all! =) Who would’ve figured?
Curtis just recently got his photos back and was asking for a little help with choosing the best photo. These are my favorites, but I too am having a hard time choose…You tell me, what’s your favorite senior picture? They’re on our Facebook account as well…so go there and give us your favorite senior portrait(plus, don’t forget to like our page).
Anchorage High School Senior Portraits Photographers – Cindy’s Senior Pictures
I met Cindy at the Alaska Botanical Garden in August. We perused all the different landscape at the beautiful garden. We also moved up the road to photograph a few more pictures in one of my favorite places along Tudor. Cindy is a Senior at West high school, and looking forward to going to college next year. =) She is a very, very kind gal with a beautiful natural smile. It was a nice, relaxed, and wonderful senior picture session. I really like how Cindy’ senior portraits turned out awesome.
Had a very fun and friendly Anchorage Alaska High School Senior Portrait Photos with Cydney at Point Woronzof. She was super friendly, had a super happy dog, and was very flexible with trying out different places and poses. It was a lot of fun working with her. My favorite senior pictures were with Cydney in the grass and next to the graffiti. I love how the grass photos look like she is in a grass field. I love the graffiti because it’s just fun and playful! She did a great job and helped us create awesome photos!
Just met up with Matthew on Saturday for his Anchorage High School Senior Pictures at Lousac Library. It was a great time b/c Matthew was such a chilled person. I really enjoyed how friendly he and his mother, Deanna, were. They even hooked me up with a nice pair of gloves so that my fingers wouldn’t freeze! I was amazed at how well Matthew held up in the cold, no complaining or anything. =) I have found that I do not like the stiff robotic look that some poses can create, and he did a great job of moving into nice modeling naturally, that didn’t look like a robot. He made it fun, and as I always tell people, the more fun you have, the more fun the photos are. =)
Here’s the photos from a recent Anchorage High School Senior Pictures / Graduation Portrait session. Ashley’s Portraits turned out great. She was a very sweet person with a great family that came along for the shoot. I really liked how her sweet personality really shined through in all of the senior photos. =) In case you have not, please check out our outstanding prices for our all of our high school pictures or graduation portraits.
Lindsay did a wonderful job of being a model for our senior pics photoshoot. At the beginning of the senior pics she was feeling really nervous. After a little bit of joking around, and encouraging her that she was doing a great job, she really relaxed. The Senior pics came out great, and showed her natural beauty with some fun and creative photos.
Anchorage High Senior Pictures with Lindsay
Hard to believe, by the end, but Lindsay started out very shy. As we got to talking, and she got used to have a camera taking her photos, her natural smile and beauty showed through. I love photographing high school seniors because I often get to see people who are very shy to get their photographs, open up and feel very natural and have fun as we move around, talk, and get to know each other. I consider it a huge privilege to get to learn so much about a person’s life in such a short time. It’s a joy to learn how life is, interests, goals, dreams.

Sweet Action Photography
I had the wonderful opportunity to photograph this young man’s senior pictures in Downtown, Anchorage, Alaska. He was up visiting up from Texas in the middle of the winter (brr! for him). We had a ton of fun trying all different kinds of poses, styles, and backgrounds. Next year, he’s headed off to military college, and I wish him the best!

“Fun. Creative. You.”
Just had a recent Anchorage senior pictures session with Pieter. The senior pictures turned out amazing. =) It was fun to watch as Pieter became more and more relaxed. He was really cool about trying out different picture ideas including numerous poses, jumping off a picnic table, sliding down a staircase railing, climbing a bridge, sticking his head through picture frames & even climing into them as well. I’m really glad that he was down for all of this because it gave his photographs a lot of fun & uniqueness to them. I am extremely happy with all of the different shots. And I do have to say, I love having a fisheye lens for senior pictures! It just adds so much creativity all of its own. My favorite with the lens has to be Pieter sitting down on the bridge with his legs straight out & his feet pointing different directions. I also really like the couple of shots in the tunnel where all you see is Pieter’s head & then the ridges of the tunnel, which was actually taken with a fisheye, though it doesn’t look like it.
Tell me what your favorite senior picture is…. =-)
