I was looking through our photo collections, and I stumbled upon these photos. Since I over hauled the website for this design, I have been wanting / needing of creating lot many more blog posts about wedding photography from all of the years we have been doing it. However, haven’t had the time to get it all up there. So, I thought “Hey! Let’s give a little throw-back blog post of some of our favorites wedding photos from several years ago. I am hoping to eventually add these weddings into our blog post collections. There are also several photos from engagement photography as well. =) Please enjoy all of the wedding photography & wedding photojournalism from around Anchorage & Alaska:
Anchorage Alaska Wedding Photography – Had the wonderful pleasure of meeting & photographing the newly married Burdues on their wedding day in June. They were good friends of some old friends/coworkers, and had recommended me to them. It was great being a part of the b/c there was genuine love and trust already built up well within their relationship. It was a joy to see how much care & adoration Bob has for his new wife & I wish them the best!
You will notice that all photos are BW – don’t worry, we took color copies too! =) I just had chosen my favorites in BW this time, and wanted to share them with you. Maybe, if you’re lucky, I’ll post some color versions as well! =)
This winter I had a wonderful opportunity for wedding photography at Jeanne & Paul’s wedding at Faith Lutheran Church in Anchorage, Alaska. It was a wonderfully inviting group of friends and family that greeted them on their new journey. I was happy to be a part of it too. =)
Anchorage Wedding Photography – Damien & Shaun: Before, During, & Formals of Ceremony from Cooper Landing. I took their wedding photos in Cooper Landing, Alaska. The scenery there was amazing! The mountains are right on either side with the beautiful Kenai River rushing on behind us. Shaun & Damien’s wedding photography Though I have lived in Alaska my whole life, I am still amazed at the beauty the Lord has given us in this part of world. Whenever I am asked to take wedding photos outdoors in Alaska, I get so excited because of the magnificence of this place! Enjoy!

Here’s round two of the wedding photography taken at Joe & Elizabeth’s wedding. There were so many great moments from their wedding. I loved how much they showed their real love for each other throughout the ceremony and day. =)
wedding – these two posts are just the beginning. Enjoy.
Here’s a little preview of the wedding photography taken at Joe & Elizabeth’s wedding. If I take just one thing away from this wedding, it is that these two people love & cherish each other. It was so evident throughout the day their joy from being united. =) What a wonderful experience it was to be there with these two wonderful people who I know have chosen & will continue to be with each other the rest of their lives! On the photography side of things, they were a ton of fun for wedding photography as they were willing to do whatever & have a lot of fun doing it too! =) Their smiles, fun personalities & crazy antics helped me run through all of my cards & 70 GB worth of photos in just 5 hours! More to come in another post, as there were too many photos for this blog to handle! Enjoy
In addition to their wedding photography, Kamaria & Wilmoth said they wanted to add a post- wedding photography session in which we would photograph them in their wedding attire & then go to Beluga Point for some photos in the style of engagement photography.
We had an interesting & fun photography session. During our post- wedding photography session, we encountered one of the park’s regular inhabitants. At first Nolan was really nice & very interested in what we were doing, but kept his distance. We noticed that he’d had some alcohol, but he remained calm. As the photography continued, he became a little more friendly, then a little more friendly. It eventually got to the point that he wanted to either be in the photo or direct me how to take the best photos. All remained peaceful until the very last moment when we were leaving. Nolan suddenly took offense to us & became very very confrontational. Having clients with me & the fragile photogear that I had on me, my goal was to avoid any physical altercation. We tried staying calm, but he kept getting closer & closer no matter how quickly we walked. At one point, I grabbed my keys in my fist just in case. It seemed he was ready for him to swing any moment.
Thankfully nothing happened, but man that was an experience! It did help that we were in a group & I found out later they all would’ve help protect each other, but man I do not wish for another one of those experiences!
The other good news: We got some great Post- Wedding & Engagement Photography! Enjoy:
I really enjoyed meeting & photographing Kamaria & Wilmoth. They were so pleasant to get along with & had wonderful friends and family at their wedding. I really enjoyed the strong values & conviction they shared about their commitment to be with each other that they made before God & other people. =)
