Just met up with Matthew on Saturday for his Anchorage High School Senior Pictures at Lousac Library. It was a great time b/c Matthew was such a chilled person. I really enjoyed how friendly he and his mother, Deanna, were. They even hooked me up with a nice pair of gloves so that my fingers wouldn’t freeze! I was amazed at how well Matthew held up in the cold, no complaining or anything. =) I have found that I do not like the stiff robotic look that some poses can create, and he did a great job of moving into nice modeling naturally, that didn’t look like a robot. He made it fun, and as I always tell people, the more fun you have, the more fun the photos are. =)
Senior Pictures
Here’s the photos from a recent Anchorage High School Senior Pictures / Graduation Portrait session. Ashley’s Portraits turned out great. She was a very sweet person with a great family that came along for the shoot. I really liked how her sweet personality really shined through in all of the senior photos. =) In case you have not, please check out our outstanding prices for our all of our high school pictures or graduation portraits.
g your photo taken, but she did a great job of staying composed, being relaxed, and having fun. =)
Last Weekend, I had the pleasure of meeting Jessica, who is a High School Senior out in the Valley. She was very easy going & knew great ways to pose. It was fun working with her & I loved the variety of photos we had. I love the variety between glasses and no glasses, as it provides a nice contrast in the pictures, but shows more of who she is.
Lindsay did a wonderful job of being a model for our senior pics photoshoot. At the beginning of the senior pics she was feeling really nervous. After a little bit of joking around, and encouraging her that she was doing a great job, she really relaxed. The Senior pics came out great, and showed her natural beauty with some fun and creative photos.
Anchorage High Senior Pictures with Lindsay
Hard to believe, by the end, but Lindsay started out very shy. As we got to talking, and she got used to have a camera taking her photos, her natural smile and beauty showed through. I love photographing high school seniors because I often get to see people who are very shy to get their photographs, open up and feel very natural and have fun as we move around, talk, and get to know each other. I consider it a huge privilege to get to learn so much about a person’s life in such a short time. It’s a joy to learn how life is, interests, goals, dreams.

I had the wonderful opportunity to photograph this young man’s senior pictures in Downtown, Anchorage, Alaska. He was up visiting up from Texas in the middle of the winter (brr! for him). We had a ton of fun trying all different kinds of poses, styles, and backgrounds. Next year, he’s headed off to military college, and I wish him the best!

“Fun. Creative. You.”
Just had a recent Anchorage senior pictures session with Pieter. The senior pictures turned out amazing. =) It was fun to watch as Pieter became more and more relaxed. He was really cool about trying out different picture ideas including numerous poses, jumping off a picnic table, sliding down a staircase railing, climbing a bridge, sticking his head through picture frames & even climing into them as well. I’m really glad that he was down for all of this because it gave his photographs a lot of fun & uniqueness to them. I am extremely happy with all of the different shots. And I do have to say, I love having a fisheye lens for senior pictures! It just adds so much creativity all of its own. My favorite with the lens has to be Pieter sitting down on the bridge with his legs straight out & his feet pointing different directions. I also really like the couple of shots in the tunnel where all you see is Pieter’s head & then the ridges of the tunnel, which was actually taken with a fisheye, though it doesn’t look like it.
Tell me what your favorite senior picture is…. =-)
